Welcome to the Hothorpe Hall Recorder Weekend Website!

The weekend is tutored by Ruth Burbidge, Helen Hooker, Steve Marshall and Pam Smith

2011 is the third year of this weekend recorder course. Both of the previous courses have proved to be hugely successful and rewarding experiences for all the participants.

There is a choice of three recorder orchestras in each session, allowing you to play either "Easier" or "Harder" repertoire. You can choose to play either in large orchestras with several players on each part or one to a part in Chamber Recorder Orchestras. So whether you are an experienced orchestral player, or have very little or no experience of playing in this type of ensemble, you will have a great weekend at Hothorpe Hall.

The weekend is tutored by four of the finest recorder orchestra conductors at a superb venue and offers an impressive selection of repertoire from the established and well-loved to exciting new and experimental music.
